When Blake Larson enrolled in his first photography class at age 15, it wasn't out of love for the art. He did it because the darkroom seemed like as good a place as any to ditch his math class.

What started as half-hearted delinquency was nurtured into a full-fledged passion by a pair of particularly inspiring high school art teachers. Blake went on to graduate from the Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2006, and after a short stint as a school portrait photographer, he began working as a photographer's assistant on a variety of shoots in the DC/Baltimore area.

He currently resides in Philadelphia, where he can be found shooting live music at basement shows when he isn't working as a freelance photographer. The only math he bothers with now involves the inverse square law of light.
